Have a look at this video, my friends. To my mind, it’s the happiest moment in the family research process.
It is when you enter the village to find family and understand that all pieces of the puzzle are coming together nicely. It’s when all the research done before the visit takes you to the right place. It’s when you see that the location of the old house on the map since the middle of the 19th century is the same as in the village today. It’s when the cousin (!!!) you find starts naming the people you have found through records research and all years in the family tree fit the story!
This video is just part of the Virtual Tour of Lopushno village in Sambir Region, Lviv Province, Ukraine. It’s also the “top of the iceberg” of work but it’s worth it. It’s a great feeling for me to watch it now.
P.S.: Make sure you check our Genealogy Research and Virtual Tours offers if you need help with your research.
Sincerely,
Andriy Dorosh
