I can hardly put to words how overjoyed I am with the research Andriy, Svitlana and their team did in finding information on my Grandmothers family line. Very thorough research and I'd like to extend a special thank you to Svitlana for patiently and cheerfully answering all my dumb questions during the process! Hello, my name is Carol Cherich. My paternal grandmother, Ewa Kit was born in Ukraine in 1894 and migrated to USA in 1913 and never returned to her homeland. Between 1920'a until the Berlin wall went up, she had contact with relatives, but then lost contact during the Soviet oppression and died in 1980 so there was no longer any family contact. Finally in 2023, after many years of doing research, I came across Dorosh genealogy services and was able to find my grandmothers relatives in Ukraine who have been living in the same community for over 100 years. I was also able to receive primary documentation on my ancestors, baptisms, marriages, children and a local family cemetery. I also requested a video of my ancestor's homeland and interview Ivan, a second cousin. On 3/2/2024, one day before my birthday, I received a 45-minute video of one of my relatives, Ivan, a second cousin who showed me pictures of the family, gave us a tour of the home he now lived in as well as the home my grandmother grew up in next door, a tour of the local community and family cemetery. My cousin Ivan has a sister (Iryna) who has 2 sons, one in LVIV, and another son lives in Florida. Within 36 hours, the son in LVIV, Andrii reached out to me via Facebook and email and connected me to his brother in Florida. Both sons connected me to their mother, Iryna who now lives in Barcelona Spain. Iryna will be visiting Florida, and I will go there to finally meet her, the son and his children. I am truly grateful for the time Andrii and his wife helped me with the genealogy research and best of all was the video to see live my relatives so far away from Tennessee. We met Andriy Dorosh in 2013 through a trip advisor review on a Ukraine forum. What a wonderful find that was! When we visited Lviv that fall , he arranged a guide to escort us to Bavoriv looking for my husbands maternal grandfather’s family. Without any prior research or knowledge we amazingly managed to find family nearby in Grabovets. Andriy had impressed us with his friendliness , professionalism and enthusiasm . Since then I have followed him on FB in hopes of returning to Ukraine and touring with him. This summer when Andriy posted about doing virtual tours due to the pandemic, I had the idea to look for my husbands maternal grandmother as a surprise 70th birthday gift. Andriy’s professional researcher, Olga , did an amazing job researching 270 people from 80 families to potentially locate living relatives. Andriy and his team visited Grabovets and Bavoriv filming the surrounding landscape and ancestral villages. With the use of an old map that Olga had researched, they located the ancestral plot of the family. Then miraculously, they even located 6 living relatives there and interviewed some of them. One cousin cried “she had been waiting for her family to find her”. Andriy presented us with the most beautiful and emotional video of his visit there. Now we have even made contact with some of the family through Facebook and video chat! Truly amazing experience all thanks to the interest and perseverance of Andriy and his team at Dorosh Heritage tours. We will be forever grateful and now Andriy is a part of our family story. We will definitely plan to return in 2022 to travel and visit our family with Andriy. We so highly recommend he and his team for one of the most memorable experiences in our lives. If you have potentially lost family in Ukraine, look for them it is so worth it!

The work done by both Andriy and Svitlana Dorosh in finding my wife's family in the Ukraine was nothing short of amazingly EXCELLENT. They went beyond our expectations in taking video of both grandparents villages near Lviv and even found one of the villages that no longer exists and spoke with relatives that still live in the area.... their exploration and finding of family documents, and extending the family tree beyond anything we knew was great for Cheryl's 93 yr old mother to see.... It was such a lovely surprise as I hadn’t expected to receive it today. I knew it would be thorough because of the sample your forwarded to me after I made initial contact with you….but this is really AMAZING! I admit I feel pretty overwhelmed by all that you have been able to discover and by the breadth of the family connections you have uncovered in my family ancestral village. I spent much of today just looking over your work, reading and cross referencing with the excellent groupings you provided for me, with house numbers, names, dates all categorized for easier reference. It is just so wonderful to have this, and , of course the photos of so many records you found. I was so happy to see my grandfather's birth record, my great grandparents' marriage record and all of the other documents you supplied for me and my family. I was very moved to read your introductory notes, especially those related to my great grandmother's family situation, and to finally learn the names of my grandfather’s siblings…. That information all touched me very deeply. I was pretty choked up and amazed to learn these details. Thank you so much! I probably will have a number questions that arise as I look over what you provided. I look forward to information on my grandmother's family, if you are able to find it.
