Welcome to the Painting Hope Project
The Painting Hope Project is a non-profit project that supports humanitarian aid to Ukraine and helps its soldiers through the Canadian Support Ukraine Foundation (CSUF). The Dorosh Heritage Tours volunteers have worked with CSUF since the beginning of the hot war in 2022.
Donors to the project receive a custom painting of their ancestral village in Ukraine, or any other site they like, preserving images of the past and helping to rebuild Ukraine going forward.
Our team has joined hands with the talented students of the local art department, who are eager to contribute their skills to support their country.
Meet Tania and her dedicated students, young artists with a passion for their homeland. Together, they are offering custom-made paintings that are not only a beautiful piece of art but also a symbol of support for Ukraine.
Painting Options
This is a limited opportunity for donors to receive a custom-made painting of their ancestral village or any other site, with 3 options to choose from:
40x50 cm
A beautifully crafted painting on 40×50 cm canvas, based on your photos or the photos we find online.
Minimum donation – 400 USD.
It includes the material, packaging, art expert’s certificate for customs, delivery by registered mail, and time donated by the student volunteers and the Dorosh Heritage Tours team of volunteers.
50x60 cm
A larger canvas and a more intricate representation. The painting is based on your photos or the pictures we find online.
Minimum Donation: 450 USD.
It includes the material, packaging, art expert’s certificate for customs, delivery by registered mail, and time donated by the student volunteers and the Dorosh Heritage Tours team of volunteers.
Fully Customized
A tailored masterpiece of any size you choose. We can plan a visit to your ancestral village where possible to take photos for you. The painting can be based on the photo you pick to bring a donor’s unique vision to life.

How Does It Work?
- You contact us via the form below to agree on all the details including the time to deliver the painting, the choice of the photo that your painting will be based on, etc.
- You make your donation at the CSUF website after all the details are agreed upon and include a note in the donation form saying it’s part of the Painting Hope Project.
- An artist to create the painting is selected. The DHT volunteers look after the process and share updates with you, including a photo of your painting.
- Once the artwork is ready, the DHT volunteers apply to receive a certificate issued by an art expert that will prove it is not a cultural heritage item and is not antique. the certificate is required to pass customs.
- The DHT volunteers prepare your painting for shipping. It’s done by registered mail. The tracking number can be used to watch the delivery both in Ukraine and your country.
- You receive the painting. We would appreciate a picture of it and a message that we can share with the artist who has created it.
- The updates on our volunteer activity and achievements that are possible due to your support are located on the CSUF website.
